MTE Reactors for Siemens Drives
Peace of mind included.
Our RL Line/Load Reactors are best-in class power quality units with a long history of proven performance for lowering harmonics caused by variable frequency drives (VFDs). Rugged and robust, they are unequalled in absorbing power line disturbances that can damage or shut down variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other sensitive equipment. They work on both the line (input) side and load (output) side to give you an easy solution that reduces nuisance tripping, reduces harmonic distortion and minimizes long lead effects.

How to determine which reactor impedance is right for you
- For most line and load transients, a 3% impedance reactor is effective.
- If your line voltage is low, it is recommended to select a 3% impedance reactor since a 5% reactor will provide greater voltage drop.
- If you have extreme transients or are trying to reduce harmonics, you should choose a 5% reactor. (Note, for harmonic mitigation on drive without DC link chokes: a 5% impedance reactor provides 32% THID, whereas a 3% provides 45% THID.)

These are recommendations only, it is the responsibility of the customer to measure the full-load amps of the motor before to ensure proper sizing of the reactor.
