MTE Manufacturing Deemed Essential by State of Baja

In early April, we shared that our US operations have been able to remain fully operational based on the
definition of essential business that the Department of Homeland Security’s Critical Manufacturing Sector
set forth. We also shared that the Mexican government had put a health emergency in place, which required
employees working in our Mexicali and Tecate manufacturing facilities to stay home if they are over 60 or
have underlying health issues.

Recently, however, we were met with new challenges at our Mexican manufacturing facilities. Specifically,
local authorities in Baja responded to the ongoing coronavirus concerns in the region by instituting a
mandatory shutdown at both facilities that was set to last until the end of May.
Thankfully, we received word yesterday that the State of Baja has determined that MTE provides essential
products and can resume operations. Therefore, MTE’s Mexicali and Tecate facilities will reopen on May
4, 2020.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees and as such, we will continue to comply with all
local and federal guidelines until further notice. As the circumstances surrounding this global pandemic
continue to change, we are committed to remaining as transparent as possible and will continue to
communicate all relevant and vital information in a timely manner.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued trust in us.

Stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Z. Zakaria VP Sales & Marketing
